CBTA Dangerous Goods Courses

We are one of the few IATA Competency-based Training and Assessment Centres in Hong Kong. We are authorised to deliver IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) Training Courses for aviation industry personnel who would like to develop and uphold their professional competencies to IATA standards.

Dangerous Goods Awareness Course (0.5 day)

This course is eligible for MATF. Please use course code AC011 on your application.

The DGA course offers focused training for personnel responsible for the specific functions, who need to have relevant knowledge to competently perform the tasks as per IATA DGTG CBTA Edition 1 Reference 7.2, 7.4, 7.5, 7.6 and/or 7.8. The training contents are according to the job function of the participant, please refer to course outline for details.

The DGR initial course offers focused training for personnel responsible for preparing, processing or accepting dangerous goods consignments as per IATA DGTG CBTA Edition 1 Reference 7.1 & 7.3. Please refer to course outline for details.

Dangerous Goods Awareness training for the additional roles below is also available on request:
Roles b, d: Personnel responsible for processing or accepting goods presented as general cargo and handling cargo in a warehouse and loading and unloading unit load devices
Roles e, g: Personnel responsible for processing or accepting goods presented as general cargo and handling cargo in a warehouse, loading and unloading unit load devices and loading and unloading aircraft cargo compartments
Role g: Personnel responsible for handling cargo in a warehouse, loading and unloading unit load devices and loading and unloading aircraft cargo compartments
Roles i, k: Personnel responsible for the planning of aircraft loading, flight operations officers and flight dispatchers
*Participants will receive a Menzies CNAC Aviation Services Limited certificate which is recognised by the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department.

Applicable Discount:  

- Early bird discount: 5% off will be applied if the course fee is settled 1 month before the class start date; OR
- Group discount: 5% off if three or more participants enrol in the same DG course.  

*Eligible applicants may apply for refund of 80% of the fees after completing approved courses (subject to a maximum of HKD30,000 whichever is less), under the Professional Training and Examination Refund Scheme (ProTERS) of the Maritime and Aviation Training Fund (MATF).
